Yes it will work…. A lot of people erroneously assume 1080p will always be better than 720p. Yes there is more data per frame (1280×720 vs 1920×1080) but the problem is limitation of the human eye to detect this resolution difference. At the link below you’ll find a chart showing where the benefit of 1080p can be noticed by the human eye based on screen size and viewing distance. Following that chart for a 50″ HDTV you would have to set about 6-7 feet from the television to see the difference. If that 50″ HDTV is in a living room of mid-size 3 bedroom house, you’ll probably be setting 8-12 feet from the screen at which point 1080p has no advantage to you over 720p.http://s3.carltonbale.com/resolution_cha…

try adjusting your video output settings to 720p. It will work but it won’t look as good as it should.
