Samsung Blu-ray Player: Video Signal Lost When Playing Ghost Hunters Standard Dvd…why?

I just got a Sumsung Blu-ray player (P1600). I can play all standard DVDs without any issue. However if I put in my Ghost Hunters DVDs, it plays until it gets to the disc menu to select episodes and then the player drops the video signal to my TV (Samsung DLP). The disc seems to still be playing because I can still hear the audio through my receiver. If I eject the disc and put in another, the video signal comes back. It’s the weirdest thing. As some of you may know, the Ghost Hunter DVDs arent produced very well….but it seems that if the player will read it to begin with, it should be fine. It will play the initial “BIG VISION” intro (DVD production company), it’s just that the signal drops when the DVD menu starts. Any suggestions?

Should I Buy A Samsung Blu-ray Player, Playstation 3, An Oppo Upconnerting Dvd Player, Or What Should I Do…?

I recently bought a 52″ Samsung LCD 1080p HDTV, but the TV is grainy because the sources are not hi-def. While the underlying question is “What do I do to fix the grainy-picture problem,” I have come to conclusion o my own that I should buy a hi-def player. I am currently thinking buying Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-Ray player, but I have read on the Internet that PS3 is probably the best Blu-Ray player out in the market. I like PS3, but I already own Xbox360 and PS2 and I am having a hard time convincing myself to buy yet another game console. I have also read that an alternative to Blu-Ray player is an upconverting DVD player, such as Oppo DV-981HD.
What hi-def player should I buy? Or should I not spend money on a hi-def player and find another way to fix the grainy-picture problem? Please kindly provide your reasoning/explanation along with your answer posting.
Thank you very much.

Can Anyone Help Me With My Samsung Blu-ray Theater Wireless Rear Speaker Setup?

I have a Samsung Blu-ray home theater system and I just purchased a TX card and wireless transmitter so that I can have my rear speakers set up wirelessly. I spent about a half an hour on the phone with Samsung trying to get this to work and I did everything they told me to, but I cannot get the wireless receiver to link up with my Blu-ray theater unit. The blue link light just flashes for about 10 seconds and the front of my player says “rear check” and then the wireless transmitter goes right back to standby and won’t link up. Yes, my TX card is plugged into the back of the unit. Does anyone know of anything else that I might be able to try? My theater is the Samsung HT-BD1250 and the wireless receiver is the SAMSUNG SWA-4000. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I’m so frustrated with this!

What’s better a Samsung Blu-Ray or Sony Blu-Ray player, I wanna get one for my birthday and don’t know which brand. Also, if you could refer me to a specific model, that would be good too, thanks.

Unfortunately, some old BD players were introduced while the spec was still in flux. Go to the Samsung web site and download the latest firmware upgrade for you player.
